life purpose, a relationship or something else that was important. Often life is fundamentally changed and it can take time to come to terms with what has happened.<br \/>In many cases, grief gradually eases over time, but sometimes it becomes overwhelming, prolonged or difficult to bear alone. It can affect sleep, energy, self-image and relationships, or make it difficult to find meaning in everyday life. Grief can also bring up complex emotions such as guilt, anger or emptiness &#8211; especially after a sudden or traumatic loss.<br \/>Grief therapy is not about &#8216;moving on&#8217; or letting go, but about creating space to understand and make room for grief.
