Privacy and GDPR
Wise Living protects your privacy and handles personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We process your personal data in order to offer and administer our services in psychological treatment, and other assignments that you participate in or order. Our ambition is for you to feel safe with how we handle your data.
All our employees are subject to confidentiality under the Patient Safety Act. As a healthcare provider, we are obliged to keep records under the Health and Medical Care Act. Your medical records are stored for ten years after treatment has ended and are then deleted.

How we process your personal data
Why is my personal data recorded?
As a healthcare provider, Wise Living is obliged to handle personal data according to the Patient Data Act, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Accounting Act. This means that we register personal data in your patient record, which may include:
- Contact details (name, address, phone number, email)
- Personal identification number
- Information about your care, including diagnoses and treatment measures
- Notes from caregivers
This information is necessary to provide you with safe and effective treatment and to handle administrative requirements such as booking or rescheduling a call.
How long will my data be stored?
Patient records are stored in accordance with the Patient Data Act for at least 10 years after the end of treatment. Other personal data is stored for 7 years. We do not share your personal data with any other party without your explicit consent, unless required by law (exceptions may be, for example, in an emergency/life-threatening situation that requires us to share personal data).
How is my data protected?
Your personal data is handled with high security. Only authorized persons have access to your file, and all access is logged. We use secure IT systems and strictly follow the data protection requirements of the healthcare sector.
Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data, including a copy of your medical records.
- Request correction of any incorrect data.
- Get information on who has had access to your medical records.
- Request that medical records be blocked from being shared with other healthcare providers.
- Object to certain processing of your personal data, where applicable.
- File a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (IMY) if you think we are handling your personal data incorrectly (www.imy.se).
Coherent record keeping
Wise Living uses a digital medical record system that is only accessible to our staff. There is no technical connection to other healthcare providers’ systems, which means that other healthcare providers do not automatically have access to your record. If you want another healthcare provider to access your data, your consent is required. At our clinic, only your treating therapist, the practice manager and our administrator have access to your personal data.
If you have any questions about our processing of personal data or if you want to get in touch with the data controller, you are welcome to contact us:
